What’s crackin’…

Pnut Galinsky–Tattooed Steel pt 1.

Greg Pnut Galinsky is a true Westside original, born and bred in Santa Monica where he cut his chops skating, surfing, and eventually painting. I recently had the pleasure of working with Stephen Brown from Mutiny Pictures to produce an artist profile video for Greg’s new line of jewelry, produced by Tattooed Steel. Many thanks to Stephen for his tireless and cheerful assistance, Ray Flores (true Dogtown original) for the archival footage, and Mauricio Lizarzaburu for VSP and Venice Boardwalk footage.

Storyboards Inc. 2009 Reel

Storyboards Inc is one of the premiere providers of visual art for advertising, films and new media in the Los Angeles area. Needless to say, it was quite an honor when they approached me to help assemble a reel from their amazing archive of boards. While storyboards are typically used as a departure point for animators, the goal with this reel was to showcase the artists’ work in an engaging fashion while maintaining the integrity of the original frames. Special thanks to Gabrielle Kessler for creative direction and production assistance above and beyond the call of duty. (QT 50.7mb, 1:51)
